FAQ

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone responds differently.

Some people notice a change quite quickly. For others, it can take a little longer. In many cases, the benefits build over a small number of sessions.

As a general guide, 4 - 5 treatments is often enough to begin seeing more consistent results. From there, some people choose to continue on a regular basis, while others return as and when they feel the need.

We’ll talk this through at your first appointment and take a sensible, practical view from there.

What happens at the first appointment?

Your first session includes an initial consultation.

We begin with a conversation about what’s been going on for you, your general health and what you would like to get from the treatment. This allows me to shape the session around your individual needs.

You’ll then move to the treatment area, where the session begins with a warm foot spa before moving onto the treatment couch.

From there, your role is straightforward - lie back, get comfortable, and allow the treatment to do its work.

Do I need to undress?

No.

You remain fully clothed throughout, apart from removing your shoes and socks.

Does reflexology hurt?

No.

Some areas may feel a little more sensitive than others, but reflexology is not about applying excessive pressure. I use firm but gentle techniques, adjusting throughout to ensure the treatment remains comfortable.

Can you diagnose or treat medical conditions?

No.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical advice or treatment. It works alongside conventional healthcare, supporting the body’s natural ability to settle and rebalance.

If you have any specific concerns, you should always consult your GP or appropriate healthcare professional.

How long are sessions and what do they cost?

Sessions typically last between 45 and 75 minutes.

Standard treatments are £60.
Double Delight (facial and foot reflexology) is £75.
A five-session programme is available for £249.

How often should I come?

That depends on what you are looking for.

Some people come for a short course of treatments during a more stressful period. Others prefer to come regularly as part of managing their overall wellbeing.

There is no fixed schedule. We will work out what is appropriate for you.

What if I don’t know which treatment to choose?

You don’t need to decide in advance.

We will start with a conversation and take it from there, building a treatment around what you need and how you respond.

What should I do before my appointment?

There is nothing complicated to prepare.

It helps to:

- wear loose, comfortable clothing

- have eaten lightly 60–90 minutes beforehand

- avoid caffeine or alcohol where possible

Most importantly, just arrive as you are.

What happens after the treatment?

Most people leave feeling calmer and more settled.

There is time afterwards to sit, have some water and briefly reflect on the session if helpful. Any follow-up is entirely your choice.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give as much notice as possible.

Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in the loss of your booking deposit.

Where are you based?

I am based at Suite 1, 114 High Street, Holywood, Co. Down, BT18 9HW.

There is on-street parking directly outside the studio (restricted to one hour, Monday to Saturday, 08:00–18:00). Many clients prefer to use the free Spafield car park, which is a short walk away. There is also paid parking available behind The Yard Coffee Shop and Gallery, just a few metres from the entrance.
